1. How to order

1.1. I'm interested in getting an Audio Dream, but I'd like to listen before buying. Is that possible?”

Absolutely! Our showroom in São Paulo/SP is open to everyone by appointment. We have our entire lineup in universal format and a wide range of different equipment to test our products (amplifiers, DACs, DAPs, etc). Feel free to bring your own gear to test with as well, or compare other headphones with ours. To schedule your visit, contact us at: contato@audiodream.com.br or (11) 95421-6391. contato@audiodream.com.br ou (11) 95421-6391.

1.2. How are custom (molded) headphones made?
To build your personalized Audio Dream, we need an impression of your ear canal. Our audiologist injects a specific compound into each ear to create an instant pre-mold. This procedure is also used worldwide for making hearing aids and is extremely safe and painless.
1.3. I don't live in São Paulo/SP. How can I get my custom headphones made?

You don't need to come to our showroom to get your ear impression taken! We have a constantly growing list of trusted partner audiologists in major cities across Brazil. Just have your impression made and send it to us. This cost is not included in the price of the Audio Dream headphones and must be arranged by the customer. Contact us and we'll point you to where we recommend getting your impression taken in your city and what's required. We've had customers send impressions from abroad with no loss of quality or comfort in the final product. Contact us so we can recommend where to get the ear impression made in your city and explain the requirements. Some customers have even sent us their impressions from abroad without any loss of quality or comfort in the final product.

1.4. I don't want molded headphones.

The line Universal In-Ear Monitors includes dedicated models made only in a universal fit. For other models in the catalog, when available, you can choose between a custom-molded and universal shell.

1.5. What finishes are available?

Available finishes vary by model and are shown in each product configurator, with any applicable surcharges displayed before purchase. Where available, you can choose colors, conventional or stabilized wood, and faceplate options. On models configured as universal, the shell remains smoke-finish; wood and other compatible finish options remain available.

1.6. What's the difference between conventional wood and stabilized wood?

Stabilized wood, before it is cut for the faceplate, undergoes a treatment process to dry and dye the wood. A vacuum pump removes moisture while a stabilizing agent, pigments, and sometimes other additives are infused, filling every pore. The result is an extremely solid, durable piece of wood dyed throughout the block, not just on the surface. Each piece has a unique, striking appearance. We pioneered the use of this material in Brazil’s audio industry and maintain a constantly refreshed library of stabilized woods in a wide range of styles. We show you the available pieces while making your faceplate, and you can choose the cut yourself if you wish.

1.7. I have an idea for a finish that you don't offer yet.”

We've brought to life ideas from many creative customers looking for something special and unique for their headphones: gemstones and precious metals, exotic woods, unusual colors, and more. Some of the finishes we offer today started as one customer's particular wish! If you'd like a finish outside what we currently offer, just get in touch so we can study the project's feasibility. Keep in mind that developing and prototyping a new idea extends the delivery timeline and involves additional costs.

1.8. I bought my Audio Dream! What's in the box?

Each Audio Dream in-ear monitor comes with an AD carrying case (the case model varies by in-ear monitor), a 120 cm silver-plated copper cable reinforced with Kevlar and a Teflon jacket, fitted with a 3.5 mm TRS plug, a 3.5-to-6.35 mm adapter (P2 to P10), and a cleaning tool. Ask us about upgrading your case and cable with your purchase..

1.9. How long does it take for my headphones to be ready?

Our work is extremely handcrafted, and we're perfectionists and meticulous by nature. We also typically have a substantial waitlist, so our timelines can vary. Along with your order confirmation, you'll receive an estimated completion and shipping date for your Audio Dream, as well as photos throughout the production process.

1.10. What shipping options are available?

We ship using several methods, always very carefully packaged. Contact us for a shipping quote for your preferred method. Contact us for a quote based on your preferred shipping method..

1.11. I need my new headphones delivered urgently!

Broke your in-ear monitor and have a show coming up? Have another urgent need? Get in touch with us. We have provided on-call service for touring musicians and other hi-fi emergencies. Depending on the model and circumstances, it may be possible to build a pair on an emergency timeline. Contact us and we will do everything we can to help.

1.12. My custom Audio Dream finally arrived, but I'm having trouble with the fit.”

Molded in-ear monitors may need small fit adjustments the first time you use them. It's uncommon but normal, whether due to comfort or an incomplete seal in the ear canal. Several factors can affect this, from personal preference to weight loss or gain. For in-person deliveries in São Paulo, we make any necessary shell adjustments on the spot. If you purchased online, you can always send your Audio Dream back to us. Custom headphones are made to be comfortable and to completely seal the ear canal from outside sound.

2. Our in-ear monitors

2.1. Why don't you publish the headphones' frequency response curve and other data like impedance and sensitivity?

This may be controversial, but we do not believe in judging in-ear monitors by graphs and numbers. Our own experience testing a wide range of hi-fi equipment at every price level supports this view. Many buying decisions today are guided solely by what appears on paper, without a proper understanding of the purpose of these highly regarded measurements. A frequency-response graph does not determine how an in-ear monitor—or any headphone—will sound. Of course, we take these measurements, but we use them to calibrate and match the left and right sides of each monitor; that is their essential purpose. A measurement provides a snapshot of the response at a particular time and a single frequency. It uses a frequency sweep—in other words, one note at a time. Real-life listening is different, unless you enjoy the sound of a phone left off the hook. Music and other everyday audio contain many sounds—instruments, timbres, overtones, and more—happening at the same time. A smooth-looking frequency response does not necessarily mean a headphone sounds good (though we do think ours look pleasant!). Because we are based in São Paulo and have a showroom, we do not need to publish material of this kind that may mislead buyers, unlike someone buying a headphone without the chance to listen first. We will always believe that hearing an Audio Dream once is enough to understand it. hi-fi em todas as faixas de preço confirma esta posição.

What brands of drivers does Audio Dream use?

We work with more than one supplier, but further details are confidential business information. In any case, choosing an in-ear monitor solely by the brand of its drivers is a mistake. What matters is the sound!

What is the difference between custom-molded and universal in-ear monitors?

A custom-molded in-ear monitor — shaped to fit your ear canal — is not only significantly more comfortable than a universal model, but also provides much greater noise isolation and, yes, sounds different.

The measurements are the same in both shell types (driver spacing and placement, etc.), but the unique shape of each ear canal may require adjustments so the in-ear monitor can sit as deeply as possible. As a result, a universal shell may not always provide the ideal insertion depth for listening. In addition, tips on a universal in-ear monitor affect its frequency response: different tip materials absorb different frequency ranges, acting like a small acoustic treatment inside your ear. A silicone tip may reduce bass, for example, while a tip that is too tight can compromise the treble. A custom-molded acrylic shell eliminates this variation and delivers the sound we designed at the right depth in your ear.

Do more drivers mean better sound?

No. It all depends on the design and the quality of the components selected.

I saw another company making an in-ear monitor with the same number and type of drivers. Will it sound the same as an Audio Dream?

Even if they used the exact same drivers from the same brands, in-ear monitors that look identical but come from different manufacturers can sound remarkably different. Sound depends on far more than the number and type of transducers, which are only one part of the design. Driver placement, crossover, internal circuitry, shell design, and other factors also have a huge influence on the final product. drivers das mesmas marcas, fones aparentemente iguais de fabricantes diferentes soam imensamente distintos. Há muito mais por trás do som de um monitor além da quantidade e tipo de transdutores, que são apenas uma parte do projeto. Posicionamento, crossover, circuito interno, design da caixa, entre outros, possuem também uma influência brutal no produto final.

What connectors do Audio Dream in-ear monitors use?

All our in-ear monitors use a 2-pin 0.76 mm cable connector, one of the most common standards on the market.

Can I use a different cable with my Audio Dream?

Yes. Our in-ear monitors are compatible with any IEM cable using a 2-pin 0.76 mm connector.

3. Reshell Service

What is the reshell service?

For a reshell, we carefully disassemble your in-ear monitor (whether it is an Audio Dream or, in most cases, a model from another brand) and place its components in a new shell molded to your ear canal. Reshelling a universal in-ear monitor into a custom-molded shell unlocks the design’s full sonic potential, improves comfort and isolation, and gives your favorite monitor a personalized look.

Fazer reshell do seu fone universal para um custom desbloqueia todo potencial sonoro do projeto, é mais confortável, isola mais e personaliza esteticamente o seu fone favorito.

Can you reshell a Model X in-ear monitor?

Not every in-ear monitor can be reshelled. Some, for example, are built in a way that makes them impossible to disassemble without damaging the drivers inside.

As a general rule, we reserve the right to decline reshell requests for in-ear monitors and brands whose build or component quality would prevent us from guaranteeing a durable, satisfactory service.

3.3. When can a reshell be performed?

It is important to keep in mind that a reshell is not always possible, even with our own in-ear monitors. Project complexity and component fragility are decisive factors when assessing whether a reshell is viable.

Please always ask us in advance whether a reshell is possible.

For this reason, even when reshelling one of our own models, the warranty covers only the service (shell and fit), not the internal components.

4. Cleaning, maintenance and care

4.1. How can I clean my Audio Dream?

To clean the shell, use only a dry tissue. Your Audio Dream also includes a cleaning tool with a brush and loop, which you can use to remove earwax buildup from the sound bore of the in-ear monitor. Do not use water or other products such as alcohol or abrasives. Do not insert any other objects into the opening, as this could seriously damage the monitor. Earwax production and consistency vary from person to person. If the sound bore of your Audio Dream becomes excessively clogged, please contact us to schedule preventive maintenance and cleaning.

4.2. How should I carry my Audio Dream?
Our cases make it convenient and comfortable to carry your in-ear monitors, but you can use any other case that is rigid and absorbs impact. We do not recommend leaving the monitors loose in backpacks, pockets, or similar places, both for protection and hygiene.
4.3. Can I exercise and sweat while wearing my Audio Dream?

In most cases, yes. We use our own in-ear monitors at the gym, and many customers exercise with theirs. Sweat is also natural and unavoidable during on-stage monitoring.

Our Audio Dream in-ear monitors are built to withstand professional and everyday use. The ear canal does not sweat; it only produces earwax. We do not recommend repeatedly removing and reinserting the monitors during exercise, as this is the only way sweat can reach the internal components. If you are a musician coming off stage, do not put a damp monitor straight back in its case.

Use a tissue to dry the monitor and let it air out before closing it in its case, so any moisture inside can evaporate.

We do not recommend exercising with our open-shell models (for example, the Audio Dream Diaboli).

4.4. Can I use my Audio Dream on an airplane?

Yes. They are safe and excellent travel companions because they isolate noise. However, pressure changes during a flight may cause unwanted noise in in-ear monitors with electrostatic drivers. Ideally, use electrostatic drivers only once the aircraft has reached cruising altitude.

4.6. My in-ear monitor has become too tight, loose, or uncomfortable. What should I do?

The ear is one of the few parts of the human body that continues to grow throughout life. Weight loss or gain can also affect the shape of your ear canal. We build our in-ear monitors with components designed to last, but the fit pode não ser perfeito durante todo esse período. Nós temos várias soluções para ajustes pontuais e nem toda mudança de fit requer um reshell. Contact us.

5. Warranty

5.1. Does Audio Dream offer a warranty on its in-ear monitors?

All our in-ear monitors are covered by a 2-year warranty on internal components and a 90-day warranty on the cable.

The warranty does not cover gross misuse of our products (for example, connecting an in-ear monitor directly to a 200 W loudspeaker amplifier or causing a short circuit by using a connector incompatible with a particular audio player).

We are always available to answer questions about the safe and proper use of your Audio Dream. We use our products in a wide range of situations ourselves.

Please do not hesitate to contact us!

5.2. Does Audio Dream offer a warranty on accessories and services?

Cables, accessories, reshells, and other services are covered by a 90-day warranty (Article 26, item II, of Brazil’s Consumer Protection Code). The reshell service warranty covers the reshell itself (shell and fit), not reused components.
