What Is the Custom-Molded Attenuator?

The Audio Dream Custom-Molded Attenuator is a personalized hearing protector, custom-fitted to your ear using the same individual molding process as our custom IEMs. It reduces the volume reaching your ears in a balanced way, preserving sound clarity instead of muffling everything like conventional ear protectors.

How It Works

The attenuator uses uniform attenuation filters: all frequencies are reduced proportionally, preserving the natural perception of your surroundings and the music. You keep hearing well — just quieter and more safely.

• 10 dB — light attenuation: ideal for daily use, studying, and moderately noisy environments
• 17 dB — moderate attenuation: recommended for concerts, nightclubs, and rehearsals
• 26 dB — high attenuation: for intense exposure, such as acoustic drums, festivals, and industrial environments

How the Process Works

Ear molding is performed by a licensed audiologist, who takes an ear canal pre-mold. For clients in the city of São Paulo, it’s possible to schedule an appointment at Audio Dream to take the pre-mold directly at our facility.

After we receive the pre-mold, production takes between 20 to 30 days.
